Sophumelela is the Xhosa expression "we will succeed"

Sophumelela preschool is a ministry that meets the need for a preschool that is based on Christian principle founded by St Michael and All Angels Anglican church in Harare Khayelitsha. We take the children from the age of three up to six years.

OUR VISION
Is to provide quality education in the area of early childhood development and make sure that the children are in the safe place and also protected from the cruel world. Our aim is also to educate children through spiritual education.

The school runs according to curriculum 2005. We give children education that has three learning programmes. i.e

Numeracy

Literacy

Life skills

These programmes of Grade R are more challenging.

There is also progressive evaluation done through children's activities. Grade R has to reach 5 learning outcomes.

In July we will be starting the computer lessons and in October we will start swimming lessons. We pray to God that we will extend our school and have more children.
